Why is my non-cyclic load being applied as cyclic (same direction relative to each sector?)

Your applied forces are only to the sector edge nodes since you unselected mid-side nodes and have a one element wide sector. This is why your applied forces are being applied tangentially to all sectors instead of having a uniform global y direction. In the Advanced Analysis Guide, at the end of Section 7.3.1.3.1. Advanced Non-Cyclic Loading, there is the sentence, `Because edge nodes are rotated into the cyclic coordinate system during solution, any applied displacements or forces on sector edges will be in the cyclic coordinate system.` |
