Why is HBMAT output incorrect for this beam model?

This is defect 38517. It is fixed in 10.0 SP1. Here is a description of the error: "At 8.0 the code checked for any constrained rows and cols and removed them from the output matrix. However a bug fix at 8.1 changed the coding so that it only checked for constrained columns. Thus, it may incorrectly output these zero row index values on constrained rows. We think this only occurs for mass and/or damping matrices." From the description you can see that the error will not be seen in unconstrained models. |
