Are there any examples comparing SOLSH190 results to those of SHELL181?
Yes, please see the attached ANSYS 11.0 example. A 0/90/0/90/0/90 laminate is modeled with a single SOLSH190 element through the thickness, two SOLSH190 elements through the thickness, and three SOLSH190 elements through the thickness. The results are compared to a SHELL181 model. Full integration is used, as is recommended for composite laminates. The output is reviewed on a layer-by-layer basis in the local layer coordinate system. Results are provided for both the top and bottom of each layer. Care must be taken when reviewing the data not to get it confused. A few lines of output are shown in the input file with comments explaining how to interpret it. Note that full graphics is required for RSYS,SOLU output, which in turn is required for output in the layer coordinate system. . |
