SYMPTOM:
If a case set up in CFX 10 with Molar Mass set in Mixture Properties is read into CFX Pre 11, one gets an error like:
The parameter "Molar Mass" is present in the object "/LIBRARY/MATERIAL:Permeating Mixture/MIXTURE PROPERTIES/EQUATION OF STATE" but it is not physically valid.
Anologously, if one tries to set up a case in CFX 11, it is not possible to set the Molar Mass on the Mixture Properties tab, and CFX-Pre gives the error:

Error: The essential parameter 'Molar Mass' is missing from /LIBRARY/MATERIAL:Permeating Mixture/MIXTURE PROPERTIES/EQUATION OF STATE
PROBLEM:
This is due to an inconsistency between the RULES file and the CFX-Pre Physics file.

WORKAROUND: Edit the Command File manually to set the Molar Mass value. FIXED IN: ANSYS CFX Release 11.0 Update 1. |
