Why does ANSYS not allow the nonlinear combination of implicit creep and MKIN?

This is a current code limitation. The coding is not trivial for the MKIN plasticity because of the changing tangent slope as you progress through the loading. Enhancement request 76770 has been filed with development asking that we consider adding this combination in a future release of ANSYS.

In current version of ANSYS (v11), you will have to use creep with BKIN, or you could use the older explicit creep model with MKIN using the older core elements (SOLID45 for example). The older explicit creep algorithm is generally not recommended, as it is not as robust in terms of solution convergence as compared with the newer implicit creep using SOLID18x elements.
