The following are two common reasons for this: (1) mesh-based defeaturing of very small geometry and (2) auto-rejection of contact with too-large of a gap. Based on (1), it may be the case that one of your contact faces was being defeatured. If the part is very long and slender (like a beam), the mesher may defeature the end face. It may be better to sweep mesh this part. It is also possible to suppress defeaturing on a face by apply mapped meshing controls on it. |
