In ANSYS Release 11.0, how can results at the mid-side nodes be obtained?

ANSYS calculates element results at the Gauss points. The results are then extrapolated to the corner nodes. Thus, results data are available only for the corner nodes (see Section 2.2 in the Modeling and Meshing Guide). Mid-side node results can be obtained by issuing /EFACET,2 before issuing either PRNSOL or PLNSOL; however, the mid-side node results are just the average of the calculated corner node results. The element shape factors are not used to calculate the mid-side node values. |
