What are the future plans regarding Icechip (PTD) and Iceboard (TASPCB)

Icechip (PTD) and Iceboard (TASPCB) functionality are being merged into Icepak with the 12.0 release of Icepak. The 12.0 release of Icepak will take place in June 2009. The policy for current Icechip and Iceboard customers is outlined below: - Iceboard customers who have an up-to-date license of Iceboard will receive, free of charge, a copy of Icepak. If they have a lease of Iceboard, they will receive a lease of Icepak that will expire when their Iceboard lease expires. If they have a paid-up copy of Iceboard and they are current on their TECS then they will receive a paid-up license of Icepak and their TECS will expire when their Iceboard TECS expires. At that time, to continue TECS on their copy of Icepak, they will pay the current Icepak TECS price. - Iceboard customers who have a leased copy of Iceboard when Icepak R12 is released will receive, free of charge, a paid-up license of Iceboard. There will be an understanding that there will be no new development of Iceboard. TECS on Iceboard will terminate and no new copies of Iceboard can be leased or purchased. This does NOT include the Icegrb product. - Icechip customers who have an up-to-date license of Icechip will receive, free of charge, a copy of Icepak. If they have a lease of Icechip, they will receive a lease of Icepak that will expire when their Icechip lease expires. If they have a paid-up copy of Icechip and they are current on their TECS then they will receive a paid-up license of Icepak and their TECS will expire when their Icechip TECS expires. At that time, to continue TECS on their copy of Icepak, they will pay the current Icepak TECS price. - Icechip customers who have a leased copy of Icechip when Icepak R12 is released will receive, free of charge, a paid-up license of Icechip. There will be an understanding that there will be no new development of Icechip. TECS on Icechip will terminate and no new copies of Icechip can be leased or purchased. |
