KNOWN ISSUE: Static Entropy incorrect for Flamelet/BVM/ECFM combustion model (Class 3 Error)

SYMPTOM: Static Entropy is calculated incorrectly by the CFX-Solver when using the Flamelet, Burning Velocity (BVM) or Extended Coherent Flamelet (ECFM) combustion models. PROBLEM: This is due to a bug in the CFX-Solver. In particular the molar-to-specific conversion factor is missing for the pressure correction term, ln(Pref/Pabs). WORKAROUND: The correct static entropy is calculated if the Expert Parameter 'mixture property opt = 0' is used. However, this may substantially increase run times. FIXED IN: ANSYS CFX Release 12.1. A custom executable for ANSYS CFX Release 12.0 is available on request. |
