Class 3 Error
SYMPTOM:
The calculation of compressible or multiphase flows in rotating frames will give rise to solutions that are inconsistent with the equations in the documentation.
PROBLEM:
This is due to the documentation indicating that transient terms in the energy and momentum equations (just for the alternate rotation model) are on the relative frame total enthalpy and the relative velocity, when they should more correctly be on the rothalpy and absolute velocity respectively. WORKAROUND: No workaround is currently available. FIXED IN: The Solver is made consistent with the documentation in Release 11.0. The overall physical problem is fixed in Release 12.1. |
