KNOWN ISSUE: Issues with diffusion term in THF transport equation (Class 3 Error in beta feature)

SYMPTOM: Slightly incorrect solutions will be obtained using the turbulent heat flux model. PROBLEM: 1) For the THF and HVAR equations, an 'anisotropic diffusion' coefficient is used, although an 'isotropic diffusion' coefficient should be used (the model constants are for an isotropic diffusion coefficient). 2) In the THF equation, the diffusion term is defined only as turbulent diffusion and not as the effective diffusion. WORKAROUND: No workaround is currently available. FIXED IN: ANSYS CFX Release 12.1. A custom executable for ANSYS CFX Release 12.0 is available on request. |
