KNOWN ISSUE: Particle transport and translational periodic boundaries (Class 3 Error)

SYMPTOM: The behaviour of particles at translational periodic boundaries is unreliable, with occasionally particles stopping at such boundaries or continuing from incorrect positions. This problem is accentuated if the 'Edit Run in Progress' functionality of the Solver Manager is used. PROBLEM: This is due to the particle transport code using the translational vector connecting the interfaces incorrectly. WORKAROUND: No workaround is currently available. FIXED IN: ANSYS CFX Release 12.1. A custom executable for ANSYS CFX Release 12.0 is available on request. |
