KR249: What is a setting file?

The settings file is a new file in FLUENT 12. It contains the case settings but no mesh data. The settings file is associated with the Setup cell. The mesh and settings files, along with the initial conditions, are used to start a new FLUENT calculation in Workbench. The case file contains both the mesh and settings; the case and data files are associated with the Solution cell and are used to continue a calculation with the most recent data, as well as for post-processing in CFD-Post. |
