KR257: What are advantages of DM over GAMBIT?

DM provides a CAD-like environment which will be more familiar for regular CAD users. It allows users to create geometrical sketches directly on the graphics plane which they can position and dimension later as opposed to Gambit where the dimensions/locations must be provided apriori. DM also provides an integrated parameterization feature without the need for scripting. The parameters are passed on to the meshing, simulation and post-processing modules inside Workbench environment thereby facilitating quick parameterization studies. |
