What is the difference between blocks and plates?

The main differences are:

` Plates are meant to be used in place of thin objects.

` Blocks allow six-sided control for meshing and thermal specifications, whereas plates allow for only two-sided control (ignore edge effects for thin edges out of plane).

` Blocks can be resistive network, whereas plates can be conducting thin or contact resistance plates. In addition, both blocks and plates can be solid, fluid or hollow objects.
