KNOWN ISSUE: Position of Source Points may be shown incorrectly in parallel (Class 3 Error)

SYMPTOM: When a case with a Source Point is run, then the CFX-Solver puts diagnostic information into the output file, showing information about the element which was used for the Source Point. This diagnostic information about the "Assigned element center" and the "Distance to specified location" may be incorrect for parallel runs. However, the correct element is used to apply the source in the CFX-Solver. PROBLEM: The CFX-Solver may use the wrong element for calculating the assigned element center for use in the diagnostics, when run in parallel. WORKAROUND: No workaround is currently available. FIXED IN: ANSYS CFX Release 13.0. A custom executable for ANSYS CFX Release 12.1 is available on request. |
