KNOWN ISSUE: Callbacks and Additional Variables which are functions of Mesh Displacement may give incorrect results (Class 3 Error)

SYMPTOM: An Additional Variable which depends on Mesh Displacement may have incorrect hybrid values, which can be seen when viewed in CFD-Post. A callback function which is evaluated on boundary faces (e.g. areaInt) and depends upon Mesh Displacement will give incorrect results if the boundary faces are moving. PROBLEM: The CFX-Solver is calculating the Mesh Displacement on faces incorrectly. The nodal values are correct. WORKAROUND: No workaround is currently available. FIXED IN: ANSYS CFX Release 13.0. A custom executable for ANSYS CFX Release 12.1 is available on request. |
