KNOWN ISSUE: Transient multiphase flow with initial smoothing of volume fraction (Class 3 Error)

SYMPTOM: When doing a transient multiphase simulation in which Initial Volume Fraction Smoothing is active, incorrect answers will be obtained on the first time step. PROBLEM: The solver evaluation of the transient terms on this first timestep is incorrect. WORKAROUND: No workaround is currently available. FIXED IN: ANSYS CFX Release 14.0. A custom executable for ANSYS CFX Release 13.0 is available on request. |
