My programs won't start after installing on Windows 7. Are there any special installation requirements for Windows 7?

The Windows 7 operating system has security controls that are set high by default. This will prevent successful installation. In order to successfully install ANSYS products on Windows 7, you will first need to turn off User Account Control. Then select the Run as Administrator mode when starting the ANSYS installer program setup.exe. Similarly for the license manager installer setupLM.exe. Once the installation is complete you can return User Account Control to the previous security level. Additional details are found in the attached Resolution Document. |
