KNOWN ISSUE: Memory allocation for the CFX-Solver is artificially limited

SYMPTOM:
When the CFX-Solver is run, less memory is available than there should be.

PROBLEM:
The memory management in the CFX-Solver only allows the use of 4 Gigabytes of Real Memory and 4 Gigabytes of Integer Memory on Windows. On Linux, the memory limit is 8 Gigabytes of Real and Integer Memory together. On both operating systems, the limit should be 8 Gigabytes for each of the Real Memory and the Integer Memory. These values apply to a serial run, or to each partition of a parallel run.

WORKAROUND:
No workaround is currently available.

FIXED IN:
ANSYS CFX Release 14.0. A custom executable for ANSYS CFX Release 13.0 is available on request. Please contact you technical support provider.
