Problem Description: When running FLUENT you see this warning in the FLUENT window. CPU clock is currently running lower than peak (xx00/xx00 MHz) Check CPU frequency governors if any performance issues! Resolution: In order to save power when the processor is idling, some of the latest processors automatically try to run at lower clock. As the processor gets loaded it will run at its peak clock speed i.e. 2800 MHz. You can ignore this message but if you suspect some performance issues then you could check the power save option in the BIOS settings and turn it OFF. Please check with your systems administrator for assistance. |
