RSM -Unable to solve over the network


Problem Description : When running RSM where the user files reside locally and sending the solver to a remote Windows XP 64-bit machine you are unable to remote solve.

When run Workbench 11.0 using the files from a mapped drive, it creates the files but it does not send the files over the network to the solving machine.

Resolution : The RSM services run as System which cannot access the network. The workaround is to change the Solve Process Setting to Remote instead of the local machine name. In other words, instead of `localhost' use the actual machine name. This causes Workbench to behave as if the Solve Manager is really remote when it's not. The files will be copied from the mapped drive to a local holding area.
