Guidelines for setting defaults in the Template creation.

Converting an older journal file (created with Gambit2.1.0) to work with the current version. The Boolean method has been changed in the current version. Hence to minimize the impact, please set the following defaults before firing the creation through the Template. Starting New Template: The naming of entitites have been also changed. Therefore to minimise the impact please see the suggestions. Converting an older journal file (created on the older Gambit2.1.0) to the current version. default set "GEOMETRY.VOLUME.BOOLEAN_METHOD" numeric 0 (new value) default set "GEOMETRY.GENERAL.REAL_LABEL_CHANGE_MINIMIZATION" numeric 0 (new value) default set "GEOMETRY.FACE.VIRTUAL_FACE_SPLIT_METHOD" numeric 0 (new value) ------------------------------------ Starting New Template: It is advisable to retain the older method of numbering i.e. default set "GEOMETRY.GENERAL.REAL_LABEL_CHANGE_MINIMIZATION" numeric 0 (new value) if the creation through template involves minimum topological changes.This helps in paramatising the journal files later. ---------------------------------------------------------------- However if there are topology changes during the creation, but the volumes can be located distinctly through "centroid" then the new method of numbering is more consistent. No change needed in defaults. |
