Cortex received a fatal signal (ILLEGAL INSTRUCTION)
Comments: When starting FLUENT or TGRID on an AIX 5.2 system, the Cortex process fails to start and gives the message: Error: Cortex received a fatal signal (ILLEGAL INSTRUCTION). Error Object: () Resolution: Set the: nofiles (descriptors) limit to less than 32000 Check it with the command: ulimit -n If it is set to over 32000 or unlimited reset with the command: ulimit -n 30000 Try FLUENT or TGRID again. You may want to put this command in your: .profile or .login file. If you still have trouble, send the output of: ulimit -a to your local Installation Support Specialist.
